My name is Kishikoro and I live in Yonaguni.
I live in a village called Sonai. This time I will introduce the Kubura village.
I think this is the most unusual place in Yonaguni, so I hope I've been able to convey at least a little of that feeling.
Kubura Village

Kubura is the westernmost village in Yonaguni, meaning it is the westernmost village in Japan.
The westernmost traffic lights, izakaya, shops, beaches, etc. in Japan.
Monument at the westernmost point of Japan

The westernmost point of the country where Japanese people can reach is both on Yonaguni Island.
If you come to Yonaguni Island, this is definitely a place you should visit at least once.
For an article about the westernmost point, please see below.

Kubura village is on a roll
My image of Kubura village is cool.
There is a fishery association and a sea festival called "Hari" in Kubura. Therefore, there are many fishermen and many cool people.
Even when we went to the fishing cooperative, they were kind to us outsiders and even let us help butcher a swordfish.
By the way, I also go fishing at the fishery association, and I catch pretty big horse mackerel and sea bream one after another.

Lunch in Kubura village
There are three places in Kubura that serve lunch.
- Fisherman's Restaurant
- Fishery Cooperative Cafeteria
- Moist Roll Cafe
The top two are seafood rice dishes. At Moist Roll Cafe you can eat pasta and pizza.
Be careful, the amount of sashimi served at Kaito Shokudo's sashimi set meal is huge!

Many diving customers
In Kubura, there is a lodging facility run by a diving shop, so you will often see diving guests there.
Diving boats also depart from Kubura, so you can often see them even while fishing.
summary
As it is the westernmost point of Japan, there are many westernmost ○○.
If the weather is good, you can also see the sunset, which of course will be your last sunset in Japan.
Please give it a try.
