My name is Kishikoro and I live in Yonaguni.
This time I would like to introduce Higashizaki. The name is written as "Agarizaki" and pronounced as "Agarizaki".
It is located east of Yonaguni and is named Agarizaki because the sun rises there. By the way, six months after I moved to Yonaguni, I met a man named Higashizaki and when I said "You're Agarizaki!" to him, he said "Kochizaki" lol
In any case, you can see the Yonaguni horses and dynamic cliffs, so if you visit Yonaguni, be sure to check it out.
Location of Higashizaki
It is located to the east of Yonaguni Island, and it takes about 15 minutes to get there from the airport. By the way, it takes about 40 minutes to go around the island.
A large number of Yonaguni horses

There are a lot of Yonaguni horses in Higashizaki and cows grazing nearby. If the weather is not bad, you can see a lot of them.
Be careful on the way to the lighthouse as there is so much horse droppings that it is nearly impossible to walk without stepping in them!
You can even see Iriomote Island.
It's pretty hard to see from this angle, but sometimes you can see Iriomote Island.

Taiwan can sometimes be seen from Irizaki, located west of Yonaguni, but since it is closer, the chances of seeing it are higher from Iriomote.

If you go to Higashizaki on a windy day, the wind is so strong that you can't talk at all. The wind speed is probably around 17 meters per second.
At times like these, the sea can become very rough, so please stay away.
summary
We introduced Higashizaki, located at the westernmost tip of Yonaguni.
While you're there, why not also go to Nishizaki and take some photos of our employees at the monument at the westernmost point?
